Hey there, I'm Erik and here's a little about me.

I grew up in Southern California and moved to Colorado in '02. Since then I've developed my passion for photography and turned it into a business I love. I started out in high school shooting landscapes and random art stuff, but learned that portraits and wedding photography are really what inspires me. I love working with people. I love the new faces and the new places. I love turning the dials and pushing the buttons to freeze time in one single frame. I love the expression on someone's face when they see a moment captured that brings them back to that time and place.
It seems as though my passion for photography grows with each new person I meet. I'll admit I geek out over the technical side of photography, but it's taking the pictures and working with people that really keeps me in it.

Even though I could take photographs until my fingers hurt, I do like to put the camera down from time to time to, as cheesy as it sounds, appreciate other aspects of life. I swim, I bike, I run, I hike, I travel, I golf, I sleep in, I enjoy wine, I veg on the couch with my wife at one side and dog at the other. I need all this to keep me balanced and on track. I've also been into triathlon for a while now and did my first Ironman in June '08. The was such an unbelievable experience.

My latest extra curricular project has been my yard. I'm doing it all myself (with a little help from friends of course) and it's turning into quite the project. My wife and I also started some seeds indoors for what we hope will be a great organic vegetable garden. We're both new to growing our own food, but it's really exciting. (*update) The garden is thriving this year and we've found that pulling food out of your own back yard to cook right then and there is greatly fulfilling, and we're addicted!

Enjoy what's here at my blog and be sure to check out our website.
